I'm gonna suggest the same place i did for another post... Lord Stirling Stables in Basking Ridge. It may take you up to 45 minutes but its worth it. I live 45 minutes from the stable and have ridden all over the state, but I choose to ride at this stable because of the SAFE lesson horses and the wonderful instructors. Their price is very reasonable: out of county rate is $36 for a ONE HOUR group lesson. They emphasize safety and will not rush your child. Your child must be 9 years of age or older though (for safety reasons). google somerset county park commission for details! Your child will LOVE it there!
