Why breed?

I think most people have realized after breeding fees, mare care and boarding it doesn't make any economical sense to breed right now. Add the expense factor to the declining number of horse owners and increased number of horses for sale, there isn't the demand so why bother. It makes no sense to breed either from a business standpoint or IMHO a moral position. The rescues are full, there are hundreds of horse owners looking to give away their horses, why add to the problem.
