straight forward opinion..with the two small children and a non horsey husband --Don't do it. By the time you build a "small barn" and fencing and a place to ride you will spend quite a bit of money, then you realize you need a truck and a trailer to go to shows etc, you also need different insurance with horses on your property, more money- and you can never get away from the responsibility. Save your money, keep your horse[s] at a boarding barn or keep leasing and enjoy quality time with your family, plus the horses without the headache.
