Country Acres is considered an economy feed and is manufactured by Purina. There are certainly better feeds out there. I think some barns use it for economical reasons because of the price. If you have a hard keeper or hay quality is inconsistent/poor I wouldnt consider a feed such as Country Acres. My barn uses it and I switched my two thoroughbreds to Triple Crown Complete about a year ago. I noticed a huge difference in overall weight (especially in my older mare) and appearance. Coats are much healtier and no hoof problems so far. They both came through the winter very well. Kept their weight on. And like I said before with my 23 yr old mare that is amazing!
