Tallahassee is right. I have seen the dip in horse prices. (not local) And I agree with the statements made by him/her?. Anyway, my sister lives in the heart of coffee county in TN she just bought an insanely beautiful, sound broke 8 yr old Spotted Mare for $425.00!!! The woman had 40 horses to get rid of due to drought. I would never buy another horse in this state that's for sure, they are giving them away elsewhere. Besides I would take a ranch horse anyday over over what people here claim are "broke" most of em have never even been out on the trail! And I also would rather see a horse humanly put down than set free to suffer and die.Sure there are alot of free TB's and STB's then you inherit all of their soundness issues that are created by the racing industry.. I better stop now before I get bashed on here.. : )
