Horse values have dramatically dropped. I can not believe the prices of high end, well bred/good blood lined, extremely broke, and well mannered horses are going for. Many of these horses are not bringing over $1500.00 on todays market.
I put the blame on PITA and horse saving enthusiats that have closed all slaughter companies in the US. Many people can not get rid of horses due to droughts, costs of feed, hay, and fuel. Some are just freeing the horses to be rid of them. I'd rather have a domesticated horse be put down then set free to fend for himself. Many may disagree with my thoughts, what do you feel?
