I have had many OTTB and first off let me say that although you want them to poof be fat, it isnt going to happen! :) It takes a long time for them to REALLY be a good weight. You should see improvement, but it is going to take months. And taking time is the healthy way...eventhough it will drive you crazy every time you look at him.

I agree that if you are feeding the right stuff, you shouldn't need to many other supplements (I give my guys 3 coffee cans of feed, 2x a day and hay at all times) but, a couple of things I have tried for faster results and have worked are the Buckeye Rice Bran...looks like regular pellet feed and smells AWESOME - doesnt give them extra energy that I have seen, the hay cubes do work as long as they are in addition to regular hay and not instead of, and (and I know some people dont agree with this but I had a horse drop weight once due to neglect from where he was at and I HAD to get weight on him fast and was at my witts end so my trainer told me about this and it worked!) is a month dosing of UlcerGuard. It was expensive, abt 350 for the month, but it worked! Also, I know you said you wormed him but make sure you used the Panacur 5day treatment...not just the regular worming.

Be patient...he will get fat :) His whole body and mind needs to 'de-track' itself and relax. AND - in general...TB are not as easy to get fat as warmbloods by any means so dont compare his weight gain to that of your warmbloods...2 different creatures :)

Good Luck!
