i like Legends and Purina sweet feed. They both make a 10/10 feed that is good for keeping wieght on. I used to feed that to my lesson horses. (Some corn oil in their grain helps to put on some extra pounds - it is also good for their coat)

If you are looking to give something extra to help him gain weight, i would start with extra hay before you go buying stuff like beet pulp, bran, etc... If your horse is on a healthy diet, getting the right amount of grain and good quality hay throughout the day, you shouldn't need to buy that extra stuff.
