Subsidiary of Major Drug Company to Participate in Hunterdon County Animal Health Awareness & Fundraising Event
Fort Dodge Animal Health a subsidiary of Wyeth, a research-based, global pharmaceutical company responsible for the discovery and development of some of today's most innovative medicines has developed a new animal vaccine for the prevention of Equine Protozoal Myeloencephalitis (EPM). EPM is an equine disease that is passed to horses by coming in contact with contaminated opossum droppings. They are slated to share this information, much other information regarding vaccines, animal diseases like parasite infestation, and what the company has to offer the public with regard to current livestock and companion animal treatments as well at one of several seminars being offered at a fundraising event being offered for the public to participate in by Dreams Come True Farm in Frenchtown, NJ on June 10, 2006 from 11 am to 5 PM. The fundraiser will benefit equine rescues and SPCA’s which are addressing the country’s growing feral cat problem by offering free spay/neuter/vaccine services for feral cats.
Vaccines have contributed more to world health than any other public health intervention of the 20th century, and the vaccines developed prevented and diminished diseases like EPM that affect thousands of equine lives here in NJ annually. Given the current state of affairs concerning livestock and the current legislative concerns about horses specifically, other livestock, and even our pets, the public is urged to attend this series of animal health seminars. Other seminars offered to the public will include one on poisonous plants being offered by the Equine Science Center, a seminar on the equine Digestive system offered by AMI Animal Nutrition Inc. and a holistically based seminar which focuses on relaxation techniques that can be used to become one with your animal during animal training, riding, and while working with animals in general. That seminar is being offered by a local business, Gaia’s Gate Naturals in Millstone, NJ.
Dreams Come True Farm, Frenchtown, NJ is pleased to offer this event at a cost of just 20 dollars to the general public. Vets, people who work with horses and animals on a daily basis, owners, those who just take riding lessons, and the general public who are interested in learning more about how companies are finding vaccines for animal diseases we know little about are encouraged to attend this series of seminars. Discount tickets are being offered to groups of 5 or more who register together. Discount tickets are just 10 dollars for the entire day’s activities. This event will include admission to any and all seminars you wish to go to, a lunch, free CD of all lecture and seminar materials, free samples of animal products from leading manufacturers like Smartpak Equine and Canine, and Vita flex Nutrition, a free entry into our raffles for packaged gift packs of equine products, and many other interesting manufacturer’s discount coupons and offers.
The day will conclude with a ceremony during which non-profit and animal welfare organizations present will receive and share in 50% of the day’s event registration receipts. So, come support equine rehabilitation, feral cat spay/neuter programs, and find out about animal health issues from an industry leader as well. Participants can register by phone by calling (908)689-4391 or sending in a registration form, available by emailing kd.lorenc@verizon.net, or on the catalog page of our website below with payment to:
